Wheelchair Thief Sought in Rockingham County

Deputies are on the lookout for an electric wheelchair that was reported stolen from a man's home in Stoneville. 

Alfred Sherman Meeks, 66, told authorities on Friday that his black Pronto electric wheelchair, which is valued at $6,000, was stolen. 

Deputies said the wheelchair was last seen around 6 p.m. Thursday on a rack in the back of Meeks's truck, which was parked at his home on Price Grange Road.
